Spring Carnival....

So our church had it's first annual spring carnival...

And although my kids had unlimited wrist band ride tickets, mommy just couldn't go...

I've had a migraine for 4 days now, and just couldn't seem to shake it...

THANK GOD FOR TIA!!!!

Caryn had every intention of taking the boys, with or without mommy, and since they got their room cleaned they all got to go!!

Luckily for me I finally woke up without a headache, I just hope it stays away!!

The count down has begun.....

Is that terrible??

It's not really all my fault.....

Christopher's teacher started it with an email that stated there was only 30 more school....granted that was a few days ago, but that got it started...

There is only 2 more soccer games, today and next week...which means only 1 more practice cause our Friday night practice will be the awards ceremony....

Only 2 more weeks of bowling....

Only 3 more weeks of me teaching religious ed...

Johnathan and Alexander's swimming lessons have both ended....although Johnathan is on a waiting list for the same class he just finished....His teacher thought repeating the same class would continue to build his confidence in the water....

Granted gymnastics will continue, he will finish his Thursday afternoon classes and move to Tuesday mornings during the summer....

I'm just looking forward to not having to run so much, especially with the price of gas....

Can't I just get a break please???

I'm sure that's what's going through Christopher's head at this stage of the game...

Saturday was the car accident, and the ambulence ride...

Luckily Sunday was event free...

Monday was the black eye for playing catch with a book...

And Tuesday??

A bloody nose during Religious Education!!

My poor child just can't get a break!

And to top it off, again it's a no communication with mom thing...

When asked what he did at CCD, his response is I got a bloody nose...

Nothing from the director, nothing from his teacher...guess it's a good thing I ask!

Christopher's Black eye...

So my drama queen son comes home from school with a black eye, and I get told oh it's nothing...

I emailed his teacher to see if she had any ideas, and she didn't have a clue...

So here's his pouting face, since he didn't want me to take the picture!!

What's a Monkey Say???

God Help me if accidents come in threes!!

So I figure I'm doing really well this morning. Don't have any issues, other than the tampon party getting the kids up and ready for the first soccer game since Michael had already gone to work.

Get to the game, have no issues, Alexander for the most part sits in his stroller, and Johnathan plays on the hill with some other kids.

We win the game 2-1, avoid the rain and all in all it's a great morning!

That is until we are on the way to lunch in between soccer games.

Now unless you've been here to visit us, you are unfamiliar with Woodruff road...the kids and I were going to Zaxby's for lunch. I get into the median to make my left hand turn and a car comes out of the left lane and clips me.

The kids and I were fine, and the van has very little damage. I'm in need of a new tire, due to the fact that I have a puncture in mine, and a small dent (see photo) in the side of the van.

After calling the police, Michael, my parents and my sister for carseats and support...Caryn always seems to have a calming influence on me....

Tell 911 that we are all fine, and then Christopher starts freaking out! He's the only one of the boys in a "real" seat belt, since the other two are in 5 point harnesses. He wasn't prepared for the seatbelt to lock, and it scared him and of course it probably hurt when the car started to fishtail and from the inital accident.

So we had an ambulance come and my mom rode with Christopher to the hospital. Michael met her there, and Joyce took the other two to Caryn at the store.

My dad waited for me and the AAA people to come change my flat tire, then I went to the hospital.

Needless to say we missed the second soccer game, but everyone is fine.

Now after the mailbox on the drivers side, and now this on the passengers side, I hope for no more accidents in my near future!!

It's all my fault...I know it is...

But do I really need to take the blame???

How is it that 3 boys can be totally different?????

Christopher and Johnathan never use to get into as much stuff as Alexander does.

We are constantly having to close doors to keep him out....

And of course this morning I forgot!!!!

SO what do I find???

My son sitting on my bathroom floor with the box of tampons surrounding him. About a dozen or so unwrapped. And he's playing with the empty tubes like they are a trumpet!!

So of course my first instinct is to pop his hand, or to yell...but what am I suppose to do, yell at myself??? I'm the one the left the door open, and I know he gets into everything.

I just scoop up all the open ones, and him being the helpful hanna that he is helped me put all the unopened ones back into the box.

Throw the opened ones in the garbage and remember to close the bathroom door behind me this time!!

I finally got to see!!

So I had the day off, so after our normal gym routine, I got to take Johanthan to swimming lessons...

I was so proud!!

Getting ready to get wet!!

Almost ready to swim to his teacher...

And then the grand finale....His teacher knew that it was the first time I had come to lessons, and so she took the time to let me film the entire class.....I must've picked the perfect day, cause there were only 3 little boys today, and the other two were a lot more comfy in the water than my John-John....so he got extra attention, and I filmed it all!!!

God Takes care of us damned fools....

and I must've moved up in line tonight...

aahhh to quote my favorite mother-in-law...

Tonight I moved up in God's line of fools!!

I always buy a 50/50 raffle ticket during our bowling outings...figuring at some point after 6 years I have to win right?

Well during the first game tonight, I noticed something felt weird with my shoe...come to find out I had almost completely cut the front portion off...how I'll never know...

But didn't think to much about it because there is only 3 weeks left in the bowling season....and while I will bowl again next year, why bother to spend $40 on new shoes for 3 weeks...I can just hope to make these last...

Well I bought my raffle ticket like normal, and then when it came time for the winning number to be announced, I never even bothered to look...why bother I never win...

Well my dad had 441, and Mendy had 444, the winning number is 443....Mendy looked at my dad, then the both looked at me...as I had bought the tickets between the 2 of them...

So sure enough I look and I had 442 and 443!!

So off to go collect my half of the 50/50...and it happened to be $58!!

So after I got my money I went straight to the pro-shop and bought myself a pair of $34 bowling shoes!!

Threw my old ones a way and went on my happy way to finish bowling out the night!

I guess God decided I really did need a break this week!!!

13 1/2 hours of sleep for mom!!

For the first time in 2 years I had a killer, blinding migraine!

Lucky for me that Michael was going to be home at 5:30.

I pretty much shut myself in my room and prayed my three munchkins didn't destroy the house till daddy got home, granted that was only 20-30 minutes, but they can do some massive damage!!

Christopher was the most awesomest big brother keeping everyone in the play room till daddy got home.

Michael took them out to dinner and they played.

I tried to not take my "Knock you on your ass" migraine meds, but at 8 the room was still spinning and any movement caused waves of nausea that I had to give in!

So took my nose spray and was gone. I don't really remember anything past 5 pm, but I did get up long enough to help get Alexander dressed after his bath.

Michael got everyone's teeth brushed and meds taken and brought me juice for Alexander, then he didn't even sleep with me, cause he knew any movement would cause waves of pain!

Have I said lately how much I love him???

Well we lost the tournament...

But the kids played really hard...

They didn't win any of the games, but they didn't lose by much...

The first game was a 1-0 loss, the second game was a 1-1 time, and then today's game was a 1-0 loss.

Pictures are up on Shutterfly!

Pictures of the van...

The "non" close-up of the van...

The "kinda" close-up of the van...

The "close up" by the gas tank...

So didn't I do a fabulous job!!

I can't believe I hit the mail box, and the mail box is still standing and just fine!!

What a busy crazy day we had...

Michael had to work, even though it was his day off, so he was gone by 6 am...

We are playing in a soccer tournament, and had our first game at 9 am!!

Lucky for me, my mom offered to take both Johnathan and Alexander so I didn't have issues with the boys at the game....

Played the first game...lost 2-0, but we lost to the only team that had beaten us all season, so not to shabby!!

Game ended at 10, and it started raining at 10:10...luckily we were in the car and not soaked!!

Second game was SUPPOSE to start at 2...but it rained for a good hour, and since it was a tournament they were unable to "reschedule" so what do they do?? Push all the games back 1 hour, and not tell anyone till you arrive at the field!

Thankfully my mom again offered the to take the boys, and Christopher and I went to a mud soaked field at 2 only to find out our game was going to start at 3!

I once again fell down the stairs, and have a nice size bruise right under my left knee!!

That game we tied....1-1

Have our last game tomorrow afternoon at 1....hopefully we will win, and possibly make it to the finals at 4:30!!

Pictures of the first two games are up and here is our link.... Soccer_Tournament

So after YEARS of practice I finally did it....

I guess I should say that what I didn't wasn't a good thing!

I hit the mail box with the VAN!! Didn't damage the mail box at all!!

Now the van on the other hand, has a "gash" down the side....

So much for my careful driving.

I'll have to take pictures and upload them later!!

I have an author in the family!!

Christopher wrote a "book" for school. It is written and illustrated by him! Called I love Soccer!!

He had an author's Tea this morning, and me being the bad parent I am remembered the Tea, but was unsure if I was invited so I didn't go...

I now have tons of guilt and remorse! What if he was the only one without someone to be with him??

I could never forgive myself! I just want to sit here and cry, but I am so proud of my son, his reading is improving by leaps and bounds, and this is a great accomplishment for him, and I wasn't there to be a part of it with him!

God Bless the Parents who Drugged Us!!!

The other day, someone at a store in our town read that a Methamphetamine lab had been found in an old farmhouse in the adjoining county and he asked me a rhetorical question. Why didn't we have a drug problem when you and I were growing up?'

I replied, I had a drug problem when I was young:

I was drug to church on Sunday morning.

I was drug to church for weddings and funerals. I was drug to family reunions and community socials no matter the weather.

I was drug by my ears when I was disrespectful to adults.

I was also drug to the woodshed when I disobeyed my parents, told a lie, brought home a bad report card, did not speak with respect, spoke ill of the teacher or the preacher, or if I didn't put forth my best effort in everything that was asked of me.

I was drug to the kitchen sink to have my mouth washed out with soap if I uttered a profanity.

I was drug out to pull weeds in mom's garden and flowerbeds and cocklebur's out of dad's fields.

I was drug to the homes of family, friends and neighbors to help out some poor soul who had no one to mow the yard, repair the clothesline, or chop some firewood; and, if my mother had ever known that I took a single dime as a tip for this kindness, she would have drug me back to the woodshed.

Those drugs are still in my veins and they affect my behavior in everything I do, say, or think.
They are stronger than cocaine, crack, or heroin; and, if today's children had this kind of drug problem, America would be a better place.

God bless the parents who drugged us.

I thank God that my parents drugged me, and I am now drugging my own children!

Ah my Xanderman!!!

I think that Poor Alexander is feeling left out!

Johnathan has a backpack and he gets to go to school, Christopher has a backpack that has lots of fun things in it and he gets to go to school....Although if he isn't careful I'm going to color in all of his books, and tear up his spelling homeword!!

So Tia takes me to the beach, and I think I'm finally getting my own backpack!

Come to find out it is JUST a sleeping bag, and it's not even mine!!

But don't I look cute and already for school??? Can't believe he will be starting K2 in the fall...where does the time go!

Must you ALWAYS have the camera TIA????

Side View....almost as big as I am!!

Then there is this picture, of my child and his look of put the camera away already it is nap time you know!!

It's all about GRANDMA!!!!

According to Johnathan, it's All about Grandma!!

After swimming lessons on Tuesday Caryn called cause Johnathan wanted to tell ONLY GRANDMA about his lessons...

So I gave her Judy's number and they called Grandma!

Then no matter how many times I asked him to tell me, I got told NO it's all about GRANDMA!!!

So I have to call my mother-in-law to find out how my son's swimming lessons went.

However, I have been told that when it comes time for class again (which is Thursday) it will be all about MOMMY!

So I'm looking forward to Thursday, until then here are some pictures!

Floating on His back

Just a little support to help him stay afloat

Love those goggles!!!

Then again, I guess it's whatever works so that he will put his face in the water!

50 pounds to meltdown...

Anyone have $250 they are just dying to give to a friend???

I have 1 more session left with Jim, and today was KILLER, but I feel great!

Told him how I was frustrated with my loss, since I feel that I'm working so damn hard.

He suggested the 50 pounds to meltdown.

It's for 1 month, and consists of 4 group sessions one time a week for 1 hour and 4 one-on-one training session.....

Weigh-in every week, measurements at the beginning and end of the month...and a food diary!

I know that the food is the biggest problem for me, and while I don't "over eat" I don't eat foods that are good for me either...

Although I'm getting better, and so are the boys...Christopher LOVES cauliflower, and Johnathan LOVES Broccoli..both have to be raw for the boys to eat...Christopher actually at 5 baby carrots last night that were HUGE and had a single bite of celery. I will be the first to admit that celery is an aquired taste, but atleast he tried it...

Now if I could get Alexander off of Mac and Cheese and Hot Dogs, I'd really feel like I was making some progress.

I'm going to talk to Michael about the money, I really want to do this, and I think it will really give me a better outlook since I'm getting frustrated that I'm there all the time and having nothing to show for it!

Then the have the program as a continuation for $100 a month which is just the training/food review...and if you reach your goal in 6 months or less you get a month free! More incentive to do better!

Friday, April 4, 2008

So 30 days later and what do I have to show for it??

I'm very disappointed in myself!!

I lost 4 pounds, 1" in my waist, .5" in my thighs and 1.5" in my arms!

Although I did gain 2" in flexability! Very odd test they do. You sit on the floor, legs out straight and "push" a bar on this machine that your feet are up against...determines how far you can stretch or whatever...so I guess it's nice to know I'm flexable!

I was hoping it would be a lot better than it is!!

I get measured/weighed again in 30 days, but I'm very frustrated!!

My trainer has been sick for 3 days, and the person who set me up on the program is who did everything today...she suggested having Jim re-do the measurements in 2 weeks since it typically takes 6-8 weeks to for your body to adjust...

So I guess we will see...

My next "official" weigh in is the 6th of May.

I still intend to work hard, and I did 30 minutes today on the treadmill...I've increased my level again, almost to the 1/2 point. The treadmill levels go from 1-20, and I'm at 8. I'm thinking by the middle to the end of next week I will be ready for level 9.

Still keeping my speed at 3. Today did 1.5 miles, and right at 300 calories in the 30 minutes.

I have to keep telling myself that it didn't take me 30 days to put the weight on so it will take longer than 30 days for it to come off!

And people say I'm nuts....

Sent out an email to Christopher's soccer team with the schedule for the weekend as well as tournament schedule and information...

Now the tournament is the weekend of the Masters....I'm not a golf fan, so of course I'm clueless....

Get an email from Christopher's coach wanting to know if anyone has a portable satelitte dish so that he can get updates of the masters while we are playing...

He has repeatedly said that it is a "problem" that the tournament is the same time as the master's and who scheduled it that way...

I've told him he is the one who has to tell 9 little boys while golf is more important...his answer...they will be big boys one day and will then understand...

Weirdo!!

I love Cliff, and want him to coach Christopher forever, but I will forever say he is a weirdo....

The Beach was a blast!!

The boys got home Monday evening, and we all needed a little time to adjust...

They had been in a car for a long time, and mommy missed everyone.

They had a GREAT TIME, but were extremely tired.....we all know that Tia doesn't allow naps, she's always on the go...

Here are some of the pictures....

My three boys on a cold afternoon at the beach!

Christopher grinning for the camera!

Let's play football Tia!

WAIT FOR ME!!!

I've got them all up at my dropshots....Sheri's_Pictures and there are some that I think are inside the Ripley's Aquarium, but they didn't come out perfect!

There is a cute one of them on a dinosaur!! I love the face of Johnathan, like he's ready to take on the world!!

I had to ask Caryn about the one at the waterfall....I'm sure I'm the only person who would notice Johnathan's face...but apparently it wasn't an angry scowl like I first thought...more of I'm very tired and it's time for a nap!!
