So who would have thought that....

it's been an entire month since I've posted anything....

Let's see....what has been going on the past month...

The boys had Easter, we hid eggs with quarters in the yard....I guess as they get older we will have to think about something else, but for this year we got away with 2 rolls of quarters...so between the three of them they split $20.

Everyone seemed happy to not get chocolate, and mom and dad were THRILLED to not have chocolate in the house, so it's a win/win situation!!

Christopher After 4 rain delays, and a lot of cancelled practices I'm finally happy to say that this spring season is FINALLY over!!! We ended up with a 4-4-2 season. Not a wonderful season, but we ended up with so many make-up games that towards the end of the season the boys were just tired of playing. This was the worst spring we've had in 6 seasons!! The boys and parents were great...it was just the weather that was terrible. Christopher is now focusing on the Boy Scouts and church. He made his First Communion this weekend, and he was extremely excited. It was very exciting for me to see how excited he was about this event. He looked so handsome in his tie and dress pants. He can't wait to go to "regular" church tomorrow and see all the people we normally see and go up and get communion with everyone else!

Johnathan tried out for the Boys' Gymnastics Team. We are waiting to hear whether or not he made the team. So far we haven't heard, so I guess I will have to ask on Monday when we go to class. Either way it was a good learning experience for him. I was surprised that they have Boys' Team at such a young age, and it would require us to be in the gym for 6-8 hours a week, but I'm sure I'd figure out a way to make it work. He did his best, and worked hard. He was so cute at the end of the try-outs in telling me that it was a little boring at first and was then fun. But he was tired, and ended up taking a 3 hour nap. Johnathan will be taking his Kindergarten tour on Thursday, so that should yield all kinds of excitement, and hopefully at some point over the summer he will have his tonsils taken out!

Alexander...well what can we say about Xander...Ms. Robin, his beloved teacher had her baby boy over the Easter/Spring break. She won't be returning to school for the school year, and since Ms. Robin had her baby my poor Xanderman who doesn't adapt to change well has not had 1 complete day of pre-school. The longest he has gone is 10:15. He just cries and cries. School ends on May 21st, and while it kills me, I still take him. Luckily for me, his Tia doesn't mind coming to school and picking up a hysterical Xanderman. We haven't figured out what is wrong, or how to calm him down....all we do know is that he does not adjust to change well!

Pictures are up on dropshots. The ones Caryn took are a lot clearer but she didn't change the date on her camera...so go back to January 1, 2009 for those...

Who knew.....

Our backyard came with a pool....

I've been trying to get a really good picture of how bad the slope really is especially when it rains, but that hasn't been working.

Took this picture yesterday after 3 days of rain. Doesn't really do justice. The biggest "puddle" is under the swingset. But everytime I tried to get that picture I got wet....

Michael is threatening to stock it with fish if the rain doesn't stop.

I'm trying to figure out how many truck loads of dirt it will take to level out the back yard so that we can get something better than what we have going on now....

Who knows....

A little bit of sunshine....

and what do you get????

A day to play!!

Nice weather means that you don't want to come inside. We didn't think to take pictures until after all the kids where brushed off. We had to get a broom for arms, legs, fingers, and toes. They played outside from morning till night. Didn't come inside for lunch. That's what picnics are for.

Only came inside at dinner time. Then they had to by pass the dinner table and head straight upstairs for showers before they were even able to sit and eat. While the blue sand was cheap, and filled the sandbox it does have it's downfalls.

Now poor Xander.....he's the smallest. So that gives him a disadvantage....or that's what I'm saying....he has yet to figure out that he can sit on the outside of the sandbox and still play. So he decides to sit in the middle and play. So while they go out with socks and shoes on they never come back inside with them on. Guess I should be grateful, cause I'd have blue sand in my washing machine.

I only have 1 picture from our day of playing outside (and granted it's about 3 weeks old I've been to lazy to post). Guess that could be cause shortly after 3 days of 70+ degrees we switched to rain again for about a week or so...

So here is our picture of the blue day....and how sand gets to places it has no business being....
